Johan Stigefelt – Team Manager

“We’ve had some very good days testing here with Fahmi. After Valencia we could see that he needed a lot more time to ride his bike and get used to the tyres and whole chassis package, so to have three full days at Sepang has been great! This test has really allowed us to work step by step with him to set up the bike. Fahmi has been very consistent here and he’s been running good average times. For sure now he is more used to his bike but there is still a lot more to learn. Now we are looking forward to the next test in Jerez; I think he will continue to make good progress there. Until Qatar we must keep learning and working hard; let’s see how far we can get in preparation for the first race.”

“I’m very happy to have had this test here in Malaysia; the weather has been really good for three full days and we have been able to work on a lot of things. I have learned a lot too with the Moto2 bike and this time has really allowed the team and I to understand each other better.
This test we have been focusing a lot on the chassis side and trying many different things, especially on the front parts of the bike. What we have done has really helped me to turn the bike better and be able to push harder; every lap I have continued to improve and get faster on the bike.  I have a much better feeling with Moto2 now; compared to the Valencia test, it is a big difference.
We’ve done a lot of laps and found quite a good pace to go to the next test. It’s been a busy but successful few days and now I feel that I can go to Jerez with good confidence.”
