Due to heavy rain falling ahead of MotoGP™ qualifying on Saturday, Sunday will see earlier race times
The last of the three back-to-back flyaway races is here as the spectacular Sepang International Circuit hosts the 2018 Shell Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, and you don’t want to miss any of the action.
Like we saw in Australia, the MotoGP™ class will be out last on track throughout the weekend. Moto3™ start proceedings off on Friday morning with FP1 at 09:00 local time (GMT +8), with Moto2™ following at 09:55 local time with MotoGP™ coming after that at 10:55. FP2 for the premier class kicks off at 15:05 local time.
Saturday’s qualifying sessions get underway at 12:35 local time with the Moto3™ class, with the battle for pole in the intermediate class beginning at 13:30. Then, the premier class will be on track for the all-important qualifying. Qualifying 1 starts at 15:10 local time, with the 15-minute Qualifying 2 session commencing at 15:35 (GMT +8).
UPDATE: due to weather concerns after the heavy downpour seen before qualifying for the premier class, Sunday’s race times have been brought forward for every class.
