Vietnam head coach Mai Duc Chung is looking forward to their final Group B game against Myanmar, hoping to reach the semifinals of the Women’s Football event at the SEA Games 2025.

After a fine start when Vietnam thrashed Malaysia 7-0, the defending champions fell to a close 1-0 loss to the Philippines in their second group game.

After two matches, Myanmar currently lead Group B standings with six points, as Vietnam stayed second with three points and the Philippines third with three points.

“The most important thing is to beat Myanmar to have a chance to advance,” said Duc Chung.

“If the three teams are equal on points, we have an advantage in goal difference.”
