
Belgian cyclist Stig Broeckx remained in a coma Tuesday after two head operations following a heavy crash during the Tour of Belgium on the weekend.
“Because of the increased intracranial Ā pressure, Stig Broeckx had to undergo two operations today, which stabilised the intracranial pressure again,” his team Lotto said.
“Stig will need to stay in an induced coma for a while to let his body recover from the injuries and surgery. At the moment no prognosis can be made.”
The 26-year-old rider was involved in a crash Saturday of about twenty riders, caused by a collision of two motorbikes. –Ā Agence France-Presse
