All New Zealand Men’s and Women’s matches live
Spark Sport to be host broadcaster for all FIH Pro League matches in New Zealand
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is delighted to announce the signing of a four-year (2019-2022) media rights agreement with New Zealand’s company Spark Sport. The rights include the Hockey World Cup, the FIH Pro League and Olympic Qualifiers.
All rights are for both Women’s and Men’s competitions and include all ‘Blacksticks’ fixtures.
Thanks to this agreement, all New Zealand Men’s and Women’s matches will be shown live.
The deal also includes that Spark Sport will be the host broadcaster for all FIH Pro League matches in New Zealand.
FIH CEO Thierry Weil stated: “I’m delighted that FIH could sign a media rights agreement with such a strong partner as Spark Sport. This new partnership will give hockey more exposure than ever in New Zealand, thus substantially contributing to the development of the game, which is FIH’s number one mission.”
Jeff Latch, Head of Spark Sport said: “Spark Sport are thrilled to partner with FIH to bring the FIH Pro League to New Zealand. This partnership means that New Zealanders will have more access to live hockey event coverage than ever before. We are also excited to be taking on responsibility for local production for New Zealand-based games in the FIH Pro League, which promises to be an exciting addition to the hockey calendar.”
