Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah hopes to find the perfect machine setup following a minor glitch in the first Moto2 free practice session in Motorland, Aragon, Spain for the Movistar GP today.

The PETRONAS Raceline Malaysia rider finished 21st fastest in 1’55.996s after a faulty braking system slowed his pace down earlier from the start.

“I had a hard time slowing my machine down especially in crucial turns that forced me to pit to change what’s necessary,” said Hafizh.

Hafizh added, “My bike performed slightly better but far from perfect after new brakes were installed. I need more changes to record better time.”

Team manager, Barry Leong explained that the cold weather might have played a part in the problem. “We have yet to find an optimum tire temperature to tackle the corners and we have to find it quick before the qualifyings,” mentioned Barry.

The fastest time was recorded by Franco Morbidelli of Italtrans Racing Team in 1’54.261s.

HAFIZH MENCARI PELARASAN TERBAIK
