# KL shock Terengganu 3-0 at Cheras

Pahang conceded a second-minute goal and then scored a late, late injury-time goal for a come-from-behind 2-1 win over PKNP (Perak SEDC) in Saturday’s Super League match at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh.

With the win, Pahang moved into the second spot in the 12-team league with 24 points – replacing Perak (23 points) who fell to a 2-0 defeat to leaders Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) in a top of the table clash at the Larkin Stadium in Johor Bahru.

PKNP took the lead after only two minutes of play with Ritus Krjauklis managing to get the ball over the line during a mad scramble at the far post following a corner kick.

Pahang, however, fought their way back into the picture after the early setback although the Elephants had to wait till the 74th minute with Gambian ace Mohamadou Sumareh heading home from a freekick.

Super-sub Faizal Abdul Halim turned hero for the visitors when he outwitted three markers on the left before moving into position to deliver a killer blow – his grounder catching all by surprise for the winner in the 93rd minute.

At the Larkin Stadium, it was JDT’s foreign power that gave the Southern Tigers full points with a goal in each half to subdue Perak 2-0 to stretch their lead at the top to eight points.

New signing from Argentina Fernando Marquez made a winning debut in Malaysia when he netted JDT’s opening goal in the fourth minute from the spot after he was brought down inside the box.

Brazilian Jorge Santos, who is reportedly on his way out after only four-matches, completed the scoring in the 83rd minute after coming on as a substitute.

At the KLFA Stadium in Cheras, the City Boys romped to a 3-0 win over East Coast hopefuls Terengganu.RIZAL ABDULLAH
