In conjunction with the Johor Rugby Carnival (JRC2016), Johor will be hosting the Asia Rugby Tournament U20 and the Women’s Sevens Championship at the MPPG Sports Ground, Pasir Gudang, Johor Darul Takzim from 30-31 July 2016.
Ten teams will be participating in the Men’s U20 and four teams will be participating in the Women’s category.

As in previous years, besides hosting the two main tournaments, JRC2016 will also concurrently host the Medini 7’s Rugby Challenge U14 (32 teams) & U16 (32 teams) and also the MILO Johor Mini 7’s Rugby Challenge U11 (32 teams).
Dato’ Shahrul Zaman Yahya, President of Malaysia Rugby said, “The entire weekend is expected to be a celebration of the spirit of rugby and an opportunity to watch young talent in action. It is also a chance to catch the four extremely talented Women’s 7’s teams in action, which provides a sneak preview of what to expect during the 2017 SEA Games,” he added.
