The Vietnam Under-19 team will be taking part in the Suwon JS Cup 2018 in South Korea as part of their preparation for the AFF U19 Championship later in the year.

The Suwon JS Cup will be held from 18-24 April and will see the participation of hosts South Korea, Mexico, Morocco and Vietnam.

The teams will compete in a round robin format.

Head coach Hoang Anh Tuan has selected 24 players for the tournament with the majority of the players coming from the recent International U19 Football Tournament in Pleiku City in which hosts Vietnam beat Japanese club side Mito Holyhock in the final.

Other than taking several from national U19 champions Dong Thap, Anh Tuan has also called up overseas Vietnamese midfielder Tony Le Tuan Anh from the Czech Republic.
