Malaysia clinched its 100th gold medal in the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017 after winning the gold through national gymnast Amy Kwan Dict Weng on the 9th day of competition on Monday (28 Aug). 

Amy scored an impressive 15.75 points in the ribbon apparatus event to win her second gold in the competition which started on Aug 26. 

Teammate Koi Sie Yan clinched the silver medal with a score of 14.7 while Thailand’s Panjarat Prawatyotin scored 13.7 for the bronze.

Ealier in the Games, Malaysia had clinched the first gold medal of the Games through Chinlone on 16 August.

 Malaysia will now set its sight on hitting the contingent’s 111 gold medal target. A total of 25 gold medal are up for grabs on Monday (28 Aug).
