Indonesian midfielder Stefani Lilipaly is confident that they can beat Thailand in the finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016 as they look to lift their first ever ASEAN crown.
Lilipaly, who was instrumental in dismantling Vietnam in the semi-finals, said that Indonesia are in the right frame of mind and will be hard to beat.
“We will win the finals against Thailand as we always set our mind to win every game that we play. We donât really think who is our opponent, if itâs Thailand, then so be it. We will play more than 100% to win the game,â Said Lilipaly.
“Thailand are a good team and they play really well but I believe in our team that we can win this one.â
Indonesia won the semi-finals against a resilient Vietnam side 4-3 on aggregate as Thailand pulverised Myanmar 6-0.
In the group stage, Thailand had beaten Indonesia 4-2.
